Finding our Centre
amidst change, uncertainty & adversity
delivered over two 1-day workshops
We are living through increasingly uncertain times. These include, for example, international armed conflicts, significant political instabilities at home and abroad, ongoing cost of living pressures and growing physical and mental health issues. Inevitably, the national and international waves lap at our own shore. Finding ways to stay centred is not a luxury, but something of abiding value to help us more easefully navigate Reality as it is.
It is during times of significant change, even adversity, that our practice of yoga and meditation becomes ever more beneficial. Time spent on the yoga mat or cushion offers us a refuge and helps us to tap into our inner resources of resilience, balance and self-empowerment. We can find our way back towards our centre once again.
In this way we can also develop the capacity to stay open to Life as it is, cultivating kindness or compassion for our own self, and others, even when we find ourselves overwhelmed, or at the limit of our capacities. Often the fertile ground of our practice is when we allow ourselves to feel our grief, our sorrow and our confusion. True strength arises from willingly facing and moving through our vulnerabilities.
Both days will include a yoga class to settle and awaken our inner energies, and also a guided yoga nidra practice.
