Pilates a holistic exercise system that was created to improve strength, flexibility and balance (in all senses of the word!). This mindful practice integrates movement with breath, improving posture and energy while decreasing stress. As the small muscles that support our body’s structure are targeted, it can be ideal for those returning to exercise after a break or injury or looking to reduce aches and pains. Equally, it can be used to enhance performance in sports and other physical activities through finding optimal alignment and efficiency.
We will begin lying down and move through a series of exercises developing body awareness, mobility and stability throughout the body to leave standing us, feeling an inch taller, and ready to take on the day.
All welcome as the class is designed to meet individuals where they are with exercises adapted to suit different levels.
