Sally Brown

Sally is an Accessible and Community yoga teacher living in Leeds

Sally brings both professional experience and personal understanding to her teaching. She was diagnosed as autistic herself 14 years ago and understands first-hand some of the challenges that neurodivergent people can experience, including masking, sensory overload and anxiety

She is a 300-hour accredited yoga teacher with experience working with neurodiverse adults and is passionate about creating yoga spaces that feel safe, inclusive and accessible.

She has been teaching for nine years.

Her classes are inclusive and suitable for anyone, including people who are new to yoga, starting or returning to exercise after injury or illness, in later life, disabled or who live with long-term physical or mental health conditions.

She teaches the slower, more accessible and mindful styles – Hatha, Yin, Restorative, Nidra, Gentle and Chair as well as yoga-inspired Flex and Move sessions.

Sally also works part-time in academic health research attaining a PhD in Health Promotion and she has just published a book about access to yoga.

Before her PhD Sally spent over 20 years in journalism and health-promotion communications for the NHS.
