DESCRIPTION:Tuesday Morning Chair Yoga – Everybody is welcome.\nCome along and join our chair yoga class with Lindsey on Tuesdays. \nThere will be invitations during the class to stand and use the chair to support yoga poses and movement as individual students feel is appropriate for them. The class can however be completed as chair based movement and modifications will always be given. Traditional yoga practices will be taught in stages and students are encouraged to listen deeply to what they need taking the support and modifications needed moment to moment to feel safe. There’ll be use of techniques for breathing and body awareness whilst mindfully building strength\, range of movement and offering opportunities to explore balance and posture. A chair is a useful tool and can help you access the movement and yoga postures with more ease. \nYoga is a way to practice being gentle\, balanced and giving\, nourishing mind and body. DESCRIPTION:Community Yoga Class\nCome along to our Subsidised Community Yoga Class at Om with Lindsey on Tuesdays . \nThis class is subsidised by Oms Foundation to make yoga more accessible for people who would find it a challenge to pay for a full price class. \nFurther concessions are available if needed. \nThis 75 minute class is suitable for all abilities\, ages and levels of yoga experience. Students will be gently guided through a mindful yoga /movement practice that includes time for relaxation and breath awarenss. The class encourages and supports students to progress at their own pace and take alternatives to suit their own needs. \nYoga’s benefit for our emotional\, mental and physical health and well-being are proven and this class provides a safe space and opportunity to explore them. Regular participation in a yoga class enables us to explore its various techniques and can support us to adjust to and manage the many changes in our lives. Many participants find that yoga can be a great complement to managing physical\, mental and emotional health issues alongside regular treatment from their G.P / qualified health professional. Often\, people find yoga beneficial for helping to manage chronic pain\, stress\, anxiety/depression\, fatigue/overwhelm\, sleep difficulties etc as well as helping to improve self-esteem\, confidence and reduce feelings of isolation. If you have health issues please check with your G.P and discuss with Carol before attending a class to ensure it is safe for you to practice yoga. \nPlease wear comfortable clothing for the class e.g. leggings and a t-shirt/\, tracksuit bottoms etc. It doesn’t have to be anything fancy! \nPlease feel free to drop Lindsey an email or message her. \n  \n  \n  \n

This mindful practice integrates movement with breath\, improving posture and energy while decreasing stress.  As the small muscles that support our body’s structure are targeted\, it can be ideal for those returning to exercise after a break or injury or looking to reduce aches and pains. Equally\, it can be used to enhance performance in sports and other physical activities through finding optimal alignment and efficiency. \nWe will begin lying down and move through a series of exercises developing body awareness\, mobility and stability throughout the body to leave standing us\, feeling an inch taller\, and ready to take on the day. \nAll welcome as the class is designed to meet individuals where they are with exercises adapted to suit different levels.

DESCRIPTION:Community Yoga Class\nCome along to our Subsidised Community Yoga Class at Om with Lindsey on Tuesdays . \nThis class is subsidised by Oms Foundation to make yoga more accessible for people who would find it a challenge to pay for a full price class. \nFurther concessions are available if needed. \nThis 75 minute class is suitable for all abilities\, ages and levels of yoga experience. Students will be gently guided through a mindful yoga /movement practice that includes time for relaxation and breath awarenss. The class encourages and supports students to progress at their own pace and take alternatives to suit their own needs. \nYoga’s benefit for our emotional\, mental and physical health and well-being are proven and this class provides a safe space and opportunity to explore them. Regular participation in a yoga class enables us to explore its various techniques and can support us to adjust to and manage the many changes in our lives. Many participants find that yoga can be a great complement to managing physical\, mental and emotional health issues alongside regular treatment from their G.P / qualified health professional. Often\, people find yoga beneficial for helping to manage chronic pain\, stress\, anxiety/depression\, fatigue/overwhelm\, sleep difficulties etc as well as helping to improve self-esteem\, confidence and reduce feelings of isolation. Classes will take the traditional form of settling\, asana (functional physical practice)\, pranayama (breathing practices) and finishing with deep relaxation. Classes follow themes to connect body\, mind and spirit\, these themes may link aspects of Yogic philosophy or anatomy. Claire’s area of expertise is the history and philosophy of the ancient practice of yoga so classes always reflect that by honouring Yoga’s roots. Each class becomes an experience of letting go\, connection and belonging\, to allow ourselves time to ‘just be’ and bring a little stillness into our minds and lives for the time we are together. \nThis class is suitable for all\, from beginners to the more experienced as the class is skilfully adapted to allow all to participate fully. We will then begin to gently warm up the body\, move into mindful standing sequences and balance and then come back down to the mat for some floor poses\, pranayama\, meditation and deep relaxation. \nI believe yoga should bring a sense of joy\, be accessible to all and be both energising and relaxing.\nMy type of yoga is kind. It’s not about making shapes on a mat but about how you feel in body\, mind and spirit. It’s about holding space to let go of what may be weighing us down and connect to our inner stillness.
